We hail the sea that broke our chains and taught us defiance.
Cups are raised to salt and storm, to years beyond the reach of law, where brotherhood was forged beneath black flags.
As rascals we rose, striking at crown and command alike, laughing as the world thundered after us.
And though our course forever follows the horizon, it bends at last homeward – for even the sea remembers where it first carried us from.
